Meet Your Doula
Sandy Finau
Hi there again! My name is Sandy, and my journey into birth work began with a deep passion for supporting women during one of the most powerful and transformative experiences of their lives. I love anything and everything that has to do with the women's body, and this turned out to be my calling. Being surrounded by friends and family who have gone through this journey opened my heart to the beauty and challenges that come with pregnancy, birth, and new motherhood. Those moments inspired me to walk alongside families as they bring new life into the world- not just as an observer, but as a steady, nurturing guide.
I've completed two doula training programs, which have helped me grow both in skill and in compassion. Each training deepened my understanding of how to support families physically, emotionally, and mentally through labor and birth. Today I primarily serve expectant mothers and their partners who are looking for that trust, grounded, and continuous support during pregnancy and childbirth- especially mothers trying to achieve VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) who want to feel confident and empowered in their birth journey.
What helps me connect with families most is my ability to truly listen, create a safe and understanding space, and offer steady reassurance no matter what stage they're in. I've learned how powerful it is to feel seen and supported, and I bring that same presence to each family I serve.

Becoming a parent is a journey into the unknown. You may have questions you don't know how to ask, fears you cannot quite put into words, and a sense that your life is about to change in ways you can't yet imagine. I understand that it may feel in this new chapter- uncertain, nervous, and full of hope all at once. My role as your doula is to meet you exactly where you are; to guide you through the unfamiliar, to help you feel prepared, and to provide the support, knowledge, and confidence you need to navigate this transformative experience. You don't have to face the unknown alone- I'm here with you every step of the way.

What truly inspires me most is the trust you place in me. I love being the steady presence that reassures you when things feel uncertain, helps you explore your options, and encourages you to trust your own body and instincts. Guiding you through this process-sharing knowledge, offering comfort, and providing emotional support-isn't just my work; it's my passion. Seeing families feel empowered and confident during pregnancy and birth reminds me every day why I chose this path.
